Deccan Odyssey is one of the luxurious trains initiated
by the Maharashtra Government in close association with Indian Railways.
The Deccan Odyssey with Golden Triangle is a 14 Nights and 15 days train
tour package that allows passengers to familiarize themselves with the
ancient past of India and the places carved with modern glory. The train
tour begins from Mumbai and takes the route of Ganpatipule - Tarkarli
- Goa - Pune - Ajanta - Ellora - Delhi - Jaipur - Agra – Delhi.
Duration: 15 Days/14 Nights
Day 1: Mumbai:
Arrive at Mumbai airport/railway station and transfer to the hotel. Relax
yourself and stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 2: Mumbai
Afer having your breakfast, visit the Elephanta Caves. In the afternoon,
take a guide and visit to Chaupaati Beach, Hanging gardens, Kamla Nehru
Park and the Gateway of India, Also visit Crawford market, Marine Drive
and Flora Fountain among others.
Day 3: Depart Mumbai and Board on to Deccan Odyssey Luxury Train
After morning breakfast, visit Prince of Wales Museum, Marine Drive and
then transfer to the Deccan Odyssey luxurious train tour in the evening.
Day 4: Jaigadh - Ganpatipule - Ratnagiri
The train reached Bhoke Railway station in the morning. After having morning
breakfast, reach Rai Bhatgaon Jetty by bus for backwater cruise to Jaigarh
Fort and Ganpatipule beach.
Day 5: Sindhudurg - Tarkarli – Sawantwadi
After having morning breakfast, reach Malvan Jetty by air-conditioned
bus and visit Sindhudurg Sea Fort and Tarkarli Beach.
Day 6: Goa: Goa (Deccan Odyssey Train)
Travel to Goa – one of the famous beaches and tourist destinations of
India. Visit Visit Basilica of Bom Jesus, , ruins of Saint Augustine Church,
Saint Francis Church. Take your lunch in the afternoon on the exotic beach
of Goa.
Day 7: Pune
Visit famous tourist places such as Mahatma Phule Mandai, Sir David Sasoon
Synagogues, Raja Dinkar Kelkar Museum, Osho International Commune, Aga
Khan Palace, and Tribal Museum etc.
Day 8: Aurangabad – Ellora Caves Tour
After having your morning breakfast, visit Daulatabad Fort and UNESCO
declared Indian heritage site of Ellora caves. In addition, you can see
Bibi-Ka-Makbara, etc. After visiting all these place – board the train.
Day 9: Ajanta Caves – Nasik Travel
The train arrives at Jalgaon in the morning. Visit the famous Allora caves
(depicts the paintings of Lord Buddha). Board the train for the holy city
Nasik, which is famous for Kumbha mela. The train leaves Nasik Railway
station late at night
Day 10: Arrival at Mumbai
The train will arrive the Chattrapati Shivaji Terminus early in the morning
and from there, you will be transferred to the airport for flight to Delhi.
Day 11: Delhi – Jaipur
Drive to Jaipur.
Day 12: Jaipur
On arrival to Jaipur – relax at the hotel and after that move to the city
to view Amber Fort, Jantar Mantar, Hawa Mahal, and City Palace, etc. After
having dinner and overnight stay at the hotel – Move to Agra early in
the morning.
Day 13: Drive Jaipur - Fatehpur Sikri - Agra
Drive to Agra and visit Fatehpur Sikri en route.
Day 14: Drive Agra - Delhi
While reaching Agra, see the Taj Mahal – one of the Seven Wonders of the
World, which was built by Shah Jahan in the year 1632. Later, move to
Agra Fort and also see Itmad-Ud-Daulah’s Tomb.
Day 15 : Delhi Onwards
After reaching Delhi – relax and take a city tour. Visit Red Fort, built
by Mughal Emperor Shahjehan in 1648, Jama Masjid, Raj Ghat, Chandni Chawk.
Also visit New Delhi Birla temple, Parliament, India Gate, Qutub Minar,
etc
