The Heritage on Wheels is another feather on the cap of the Indian Railways. Just like Palace on wheels, one of the most luxurious trains in the world, the Heritage on Wheels aims to make you feel closer to the real India and its cultures and traditions. Introduced to the world in the year 2006, it is bound to make you fall in love with India and will make you crave for even more.

Criss-crossing the state of Rajasthan from Jaipur to Bikaner and Shekhawati regions, these luxury trains have always been the most suitable and comfortable media for bringing tourists closer to the soul of India. With the chugging of the train into its territories, the passengers can observe the different scenarios in the region which actually is an agglomeration of the new age city lifestyle in the country and the age old traditions and rural system which never fail to fascinate.

The Heritage on wheels comprises of 14 coaches containing 104 seats which can be reserved. The coaches are fully air conditioned to give maximum comfort while travelling through the sweltering heat of the arid desert. Also the interior designing has been done in a opulently in a traditionally Rajasthani way while not missing out on the modern day facilities like huge beds, satellite television, channel music, chairs and desks, all this while feasting your eyes on the grandeur of the places.

Catering to the taste buds of its passengers, the Heritage on Wheel has two restaurants namely Maharaja and Maharani serving sumptuous and finger-licking good local food. It also has a bar cum lounge and two service cars. The lounge is a perfect place to hang out and have fun. Also featuring a VCD/DVD system, it allows its passengers to enjoy movies too.
