According to Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Moradabad Onkar Singh, almost 80 per cent of the survey had been completed in the year 2000 and the current process of updating it was underway. Talking to The Indian Express, he said, “There is not much economic activity on this stretch. But at the same time there are lots of tourists coming to the region. Once the broad guage track is laid, there will be an all-round improvement in the economic activity in the area.” Garhwal Train - Indian Railways Trains to Garhwal.
